Engaging Youth Leaders for Indigenous and Sustainable Climate Action
Activity

Organized by the Department of Botany, UAJ&K, in collaboration with the Teacher’s Resource Centre under the US Consulate funded CANDLE project. Context (SDG 13 – Climate Action): The conference built awareness and capacity for climate action by engaging youth, scholars, and stakeholders in developing social action projects targeting local climate challenges. With keynote insights, expert panel discussions, and student-led initiatives, the event advanced SDG 13 by promoting education, collaboration, and community-driven strategies for climate resilience and sustainability

Preparations underway for National Conference on Sustainability Development
Activity

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, chaired a high-level meeting to review the arrangements for the upcoming National Conference on Revitalizing the AJK SDG-2030 Roadmap: Pathways to Sustainable Development. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized, “As a leading institution in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, UAJK is committed to contributing towards sustainable development by promoting research-driven solutions and fostering partnerships. This conference reflects our dedication to addressing pressing issues that impact the future of our region.”

CLEAN AND GREEN TREE PLANTATION DRIVE 2024
Activity

Clean and Green Tree Plantation Drive 2024 launched by the Department of Electrical Engineering, UAJ&K, at Chehla Campus, Muzaffarabad. The campaign aims to plant 500 trees within two months, with active participation from faculty, staff, and students.
